Making Our Fusion Reactor Better, day 75 of 320: a pallet of lead bricks was delivered with a large Fragile Material indicator. If I was selling lead bricks, I would put a sign on them that read, “If you can actually break these, then they are free of charge!”

Making Our Fusion Reactor Better, day 74 of 320: What do you do when the Secretary of Energy is touring the facility and your Control Room is all ripped up for refurbishments? The solution was to put up a sign and stay out of there.

Making Our Fusion Reactor Better, day 72 of 320: putting signs on some of our diagnostic systems. It highlights the responsible institution and makes it easier for tour guides to describe systems. The signs are non-flammable, of course!

Making Our Fusion Reactor Better, day 71 of 320: inspecting the dust containment setup before concrete cutting begins in earnest. This area will be transformed such that it can support the new 50-ton particle beam that “swings” between injection geometries.
