A Discussion on Self-leadership

April 22, 2021 Leave a Comment

One very positive experience I had on Clubhouse was meeting Sally Foley-Lewis, a professional coach and leadership expert. She is conducing analysis about self-leadership and interviewing professionals to learn about their experiences. I had the chance to talk to her about this and learned a lot myself. Side note: there are some very good project management rooms and I found people to be very open and willing to talk about their profession.

The full interview is posted to Sally’s site here, SPARK with David Pace.

Prior to the interview, I had not thought about self-leadership beyond any treatment in training sessions (like LAMP). This is a pretty important subject, as self-leadership concerns the ways in which we guide or inspire ourselves, and the way in which we identify and approach goals. There is a nice summary of self-leadership on Indeed.com. Following this experience, I’m going to try to remain mindful of the ways in which I direct myself, and the implications that has for the teams in which I work.
