Buying a home in San Diego is tough. The hot market is allowing Sellers to expedite escrow, foster bidding wars, and refuse to perform any repairs. At least we have low interest rates compared to the 12% and up that our parents faced.

    @dcpace I have some regrets leaving fusion research but not having to deal with San Diego (or Princeton or Boston…) real estate prices somewhat makes up for it.

      @tgray I think the fusion program regrets losing talented people. Even this year’s improved budget helps only with hardware and not people. Home sellers in San Diego, however, regret nothing and pay for nothing (repair-wise).
